Welcome (back) to the new (old) home of Notorious R.O.B.

Substack was fun and interesting and well, let's just say I learned a lot. But it was time to return to my roots, back to my own site of sorts, just powered by newer more modern technology.

I can't imagine my content will change that much just from this move. I'll still write far too long posts about topics in the real estate industry that I always think are kinda white-pilled but everyone else tells me is dark and foreboding. I'll still do in-depth analysis of lawsuits and legal topics simply because I like reading legal docs and you probably don't. I'll read them so you don't have to. I'll still engage in the kind of challenging writing that have some of my most loyal readers say, "I disagree with everything you wrote... but you made me think."

I like to say that I have the smartest, best informed audience in real estate... because I do. Some of my readers are leaders of the largest organizations in the industry, while others are solo practitioners who have uncommon intelligence and perceptiveness about the world and the industry. All are among the most informed and most intellectual in the real estate industry.

The new Notorious ROB will remain an email newsletter as well. So if you signed up, you will get my posts in your inbox when I publish. Of course you are welcome to come to the site and read my overly long posts.

You will notice that there is a significant premium section of the site. That is on purpose. The rule of thumb is, if it's just my rambling opinions on something, or if it is on a topic of broad industry/public interest, I am likely to publish that for everyone. If it's a post that requires real work? Like reading a 78-page legal filing for an analysis of the impact on the industry? Yeah, hook a brother up, I say.

I hope you find my writing interesting, thought-provoking, and only rarely enraging. That has been known to happen.

See you in the comments!
