In the previous installment of this Do Less, MLS series, I said that while the concept was simple, changing the MLS so fundamentally was going to be difficult. There is nothing easy about undoing more than 25 years of How Things Are Done, especially with so many thousands and thousands of brokers, agents, tech companies and consumers reliant on How Things Are Done.

I started to write the sections on the challenges and issues of executing on the simple Do Less idea, but realized the post would balloon past even the point that I would find acceptable. I promised a followup post to lay out some details of execution. This is that post.

Like the previous, this work really only concerns those who run an MLS, perhaps brokerage and franchise leaders who need to understand the changes, maybe tech leaders, maybe regulators. So it will be limited to VIP members.
